Place the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit on the bedside or someplace convenient where your child can hear the alarm and reach it to turn it off. Secure the IntelliFlex mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners. Place the bed sheet directly over the mat. Ensure that your child does not come in contact with the mat. The mat is very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the Chummie alarm.

Gently clean the IntelliFlex mat with a damp cotton cloth, then immediately pat dry with a towel or cloth – DO NOT USE SOAP OR LIQUID DETERGENT. DO NOT WASH THE PLUG (the end that goes into the alarm unit)
Some children sweat more than other children. This may cause the IntelliFlex mat to go off at night. To minimize false alarms, follow the step below.
• If Place the IntelliFlex mat in a pillowcase and secure the mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners .
• Place a bed sheet directly over the mat enclosed in the pillowcase.
• To start monitoring for bedwetting events, insert the mat plug into the Chummie alarm. The alarm unit will beep twice signaling a successful connection has been established.

For daytime storage, disconnect the IntelliFlex mat from the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit. The alarm unit beeps once and enters standby (power save) mode.
The Chummie Alarm and IntelliFlex mat are very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the alarm. Make sure that that skin does not come in contact with the mat. It is always recommended to first place the mat in a pillow case and then put it under a bedsheet.
Wipe the IntellIFlex mat with a damp cloth and then clean dry. Do NOT place under water or submerge in water.
It’s a good idea to use waterproof overlays. These will protect the mattress from urine stains. However, the mat should always be placed on top of the waterproof bedding. Never place the mat below the waterproof bedding or else the alarm will not detect any urine
For hygienic purposes, it is always recommended that you use a new mat for each mat child to be treated. The mat comes in contact with urine so it is advisable to use a separate mat for each child. Additional mats can be purchased here.

I bought this very eager to try it on my son! Unfortunately, I am not able to fully review it. Because of my son’s clumsiness he dropped it on the floor badly and the alarm had a crack so it is not very accurate when my son is wet.

I wish I’d learned about this system a few years earlier when my son started having problems with bed wetting. It has helped all of us cope with this problem with less accidents and has made him more confident and able to sleep better. What was beginning to happen is a fear of going to sleep and waking up soaked. He hated that and now his mind is at ease and has less accidents. The choice of adjustments in alarms/volume is a feature we appreciated initially to determine which type of alarm was going to work best.

This has to be the best thing I got for my son. We tried another alarm before, a cheaper one, but my son has issues with a sensor on his underwear. To help him have a more natural sleep regimen, I decided to get this system. Its actually pretty cool. The mat goes between the bedsheet and your child sleeps on it. The alarm sits besides on the table. Its convenient and comfortable.
My son wouldn’t wake up initially, so we placed the alarm close to my room (the cord is really very long) so I could wake him up.
It has done a wonderful job of training him. In a few weeks, he significantly reduced his bedwetting and is dry now. This is a wonderful product.
