Place the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit on the bedside or someplace convenient where your child can hear the alarm and reach it to turn it off. Secure the IntelliFlex mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners. Place the bed sheet directly over the mat. Ensure that your child does not come in contact with the mat. The mat is very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the Chummie alarm.

Gently clean the IntelliFlex mat with a damp cotton cloth, then immediately pat dry with a towel or cloth – DO NOT USE SOAP OR LIQUID DETERGENT. DO NOT WASH THE PLUG (the end that goes into the alarm unit)
Some children sweat more than other children. This may cause the IntelliFlex mat to go off at night. To minimize false alarms, follow the step below.
• If Place the IntelliFlex mat in a pillowcase and secure the mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners .
• Place a bed sheet directly over the mat enclosed in the pillowcase.
• To start monitoring for bedwetting events, insert the mat plug into the Chummie alarm. The alarm unit will beep twice signaling a successful connection has been established.

For daytime storage, disconnect the IntelliFlex mat from the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit. The alarm unit beeps once and enters standby (power save) mode.
The Chummie Alarm and IntelliFlex mat are very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the alarm. Make sure that that skin does not come in contact with the mat. It is always recommended to first place the mat in a pillow case and then put it under a bedsheet.
Wipe the IntellIFlex mat with a damp cloth and then clean dry. Do NOT place under water or submerge in water.
It’s a good idea to use waterproof overlays. These will protect the mattress from urine stains. However, the mat should always be placed on top of the waterproof bedding. Never place the mat below the waterproof bedding or else the alarm will not detect any urine
For hygienic purposes, it is always recommended that you use a new mat for each mat child to be treated. The mat comes in contact with urine so it is advisable to use a separate mat for each child. Additional mats can be purchased here.

The mat senses moisture, even small amounts, and gives off a loud alarm with vibration designed to wake the bedwetter. We wanted to avoid medication for our 10-year-old deep sleeper bedwetter and after trying dozens of other tricks it seemed like our only hope. Within 3 weeks, my son was dry every night when he had been soaking through his undies before.

The system works as advertised. I am thrilled with the results and the fact that my 11-year old has FINALLY stopped wetting the bed at night. It was not an easy decision to get him to start using bedwetting alarms at his age, and then the decision to chose was even harder.
At 11, I really didnt expect him to have clips and slat sensors on his underwear and the comfortable mat was a joint decision.
The mat is not very comfortable, but placing 2-3 layers of sheets on it really helped. It was enough to get him to sleep soundly through the night. I ordered an extra mat, but didn’t use it. The mat has lines that went from grey to a rusty color on use. I thought that this would impact the product performance and called the company. They were helpful in suggesting that the line colors did not change product performance. I continued and am super excited that his bedwetting is the past.

This is the second time I purchased a bedwetting alarm. My daughter has autism and she needed assistance with a unique system. This brand was recommended by the doctor and it has worked very well.
We have tried another mat system prior to this, but for some reason after a few weeks it stopped and the manufacturer wanted return shipment etc – essentially cost prohibitive.
This alarm has done wonders. In just days, my daughter is starting to have drier nights. Shes not completely dry as yet, but is certainly on the way to getting cured in a few weeks. The progress is faster than I expected. Easy to use and clean. The mat pattern changed colors from silver to brown. I did contact the manufacturer and they said that it was normal and didn’t change performance. True… Its only done what its supposed to do for her. Recommended to everyone 🙂

My son had his first sleepover thanks to Chummie. He is 9 and started using it in the holidays and was excited to visit grandma’s for Christmas. We usually don’t sleep over because he is so embarrassed of his wetting issue. But this holiday, we put him on a Chummie and he did not wet the bed. Per the instructions, Chummie was discontinued after 15 days. He was nervous once school started how it would impact him. But he’s be dry last week. Seems like hes not going to be wetting the bed anymore 🙂

My daughter has been battling bed wetting for so many years I can’t even remember when she had her last dry night. She is now 13 and I was frantically looking for a solution till I bought chummie.
I bought this alarm system and it worked right out of the box. Within four weeks, she had her 2 straight dry nights and ever since, she has been dry. No accidents, no relapses. She is cured.
