Place the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit on the bedside or someplace convenient where your child can hear the alarm and reach it to turn it off. Secure the IntelliFlex mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners. Place the bed sheet directly over the mat. Ensure that your child does not come in contact with the mat. The mat is very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the Chummie alarm.

Gently clean the IntelliFlex mat with a damp cotton cloth, then immediately pat dry with a towel or cloth – DO NOT USE SOAP OR LIQUID DETERGENT. DO NOT WASH THE PLUG (the end that goes into the alarm unit)
Some children sweat more than other children. This may cause the IntelliFlex mat to go off at night. To minimize false alarms, follow the step below.
• If Place the IntelliFlex mat in a pillowcase and secure the mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners .
• Place a bed sheet directly over the mat enclosed in the pillowcase.
• To start monitoring for bedwetting events, insert the mat plug into the Chummie alarm. The alarm unit will beep twice signaling a successful connection has been established.

For daytime storage, disconnect the IntelliFlex mat from the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit. The alarm unit beeps once and enters standby (power save) mode.
The Chummie Alarm and IntelliFlex mat are very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the alarm. Make sure that that skin does not come in contact with the mat. It is always recommended to first place the mat in a pillow case and then put it under a bedsheet.
Wipe the IntellIFlex mat with a damp cloth and then clean dry. Do NOT place under water or submerge in water.
It’s a good idea to use waterproof overlays. These will protect the mattress from urine stains. However, the mat should always be placed on top of the waterproof bedding. Never place the mat below the waterproof bedding or else the alarm will not detect any urine
For hygienic purposes, it is always recommended that you use a new mat for each mat child to be treated. The mat comes in contact with urine so it is advisable to use a separate mat for each child. Additional mats can be purchased here.

Purchased the alarm and mat for my 7 year old. Diapers save the bed, but were giving him skin rash and it was getting nasty over time.
Heard of this incontinence mat from my co-worker who had been using it for her son so I decided to get one.
Setup was easy and the mat is very thin. Be careful when you set it up though. The mat MUST be put below the bedsheet as it is very sensitive and may cause false alarms. The alarm unit is cute, but loud. Very loud. I am glad it comes with a quiet light flash only mode. We didn’t want to wake him up every time he wets, so we set it on the light only mode. Skin rash has been reduced to zero and he doesn’t need diapers anymore.

My son is a deep sleeper. Even an earthquake won’t wake him up. His pediatrician recommended we get a bedwetting alarm. After days of research, we landed on the Chummie Pro. Its actually great of you have an older child. My boy was 13 and we really wanted him to get over this bedwetting problem before his 14th birthday. Its simple to use. Just sleep on the mat and when you wet, it wakes you up. Tried it with little success first 2-3 weeks and then he just started waking up magically to the alarm. On the 73rd day, he recorded his 14th dry night and we stopped using the alarm just 20 days before his 14th birthday. Yaaaaayyyy.

It’s so easy to use this bedwetting system. Had I known that all I had to do was make my son sleep and wake him when he wets the bed, I would never have waited this long.
Basically, my son sleeps on this mat and each time he pees at night, the alarm goes off and wakes us all up.
At first, he had a hard time waking up to it, but that changed quickly. Over the next few weeks as he started waking up by himself and then one night, out of the blue, woke up to use the bathroom…. the chummie had not even started beeping! He has a full bladder and emptied himself in the bathroom.
It’s almost a miracle. The mat does require some cleaning when its wet, but so worth it. I recommend that you use a dry cloth to quickly clean it. It can always be cleaned in the morning when the child is awake with a moist cotton cloth. I use Lysol wipes to disinfect the mats.
My son is proud that he is no longer a bedwetter and we are relieved parents of an ecstatic dry boy.

It had been about three week of using the alarm. Already a huge improvement. My 9 year old didn’t want to use it at first but we explained it to him. Told him he would have more opportunities to do like night stay overs,school camps. He now understands and is very proud of himself when no accidents happen. We have had 8 completely dry nights. It is a great product and easy to use. Thank you!

Such an effective product! It really caters to the right needs of deep sleeper children who want a bed side alarm. It does detect urine fast. Which by the end of the program means not too much mess to clean up? My son went from a bed –wetter to an absolute dry child in just 2 weeks. Overall this is a great product and I would highly recommend it for anyone who has a child (or children) struggling with bed wetting.

I can’t believe this thing works, but it does. You should watch a the video to learn how to use it correctly or read the manual carefully so you know what to expect. This alarm helped my 12-year-old son tremendously
