Place the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit on the bedside or someplace convenient where your child can hear the alarm and reach it to turn it off. Secure the IntelliFlex mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners. Place the bed sheet directly over the mat. Ensure that your child does not come in contact with the mat. The mat is very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the Chummie alarm.

Gently clean the IntelliFlex mat with a damp cotton cloth, then immediately pat dry with a towel or cloth – DO NOT USE SOAP OR LIQUID DETERGENT. DO NOT WASH THE PLUG (the end that goes into the alarm unit)
Some children sweat more than other children. This may cause the IntelliFlex mat to go off at night. To minimize false alarms, follow the step below.
• If Place the IntelliFlex mat in a pillowcase and secure the mat on the bed by placing 4 pins in the 4 corners .
• Place a bed sheet directly over the mat enclosed in the pillowcase.
• To start monitoring for bedwetting events, insert the mat plug into the Chummie alarm. The alarm unit will beep twice signaling a successful connection has been established.

For daytime storage, disconnect the IntelliFlex mat from the Chummie bedwetting alarm unit. The alarm unit beeps once and enters standby (power save) mode.
The Chummie Alarm and IntelliFlex mat are very sensitive and sweat from the body can trigger the alarm. Make sure that that skin does not come in contact with the mat. It is always recommended to first place the mat in a pillow case and then put it under a bedsheet.
Wipe the IntellIFlex mat with a damp cloth and then clean dry. Do NOT place under water or submerge in water.
It’s a good idea to use waterproof overlays. These will protect the mattress from urine stains. However, the mat should always be placed on top of the waterproof bedding. Never place the mat below the waterproof bedding or else the alarm will not detect any urine
For hygienic purposes, it is always recommended that you use a new mat for each mat child to be treated. The mat comes in contact with urine so it is advisable to use a separate mat for each child. Additional mats can be purchased here.

We read the reviews online and considered purchasing a Chummie alarm for my boy. We were not sure what to expect initially but after reading online reviews of parents whose children stopped wetting the bed with the Chummie, we definitely decided to give the treatment a try.
Initial setup took no more than 5 minutes. We did a ‘dress rehearsal’ when the alarm first arrived, this prepared my son for the nights ahead.
An absolute must with the treatment is to praise your child for participating and encourage them throughout the process. Also, place the mat correctly on the bed and secure it in place so it doesn’t move and cleaning the soiled mat after each wetting incident is of utmost importance.
Chummie brought back the self-confidence in my son. A great motivator and an absolute essential for every bedwetting child.

My wife suffered a stroke recently and as a result lost her ability to control her bladder at night. She had periodic wetting events since she returned from the hospital. I called the manufacturer of this alarm since they had a children’s product. They recommended that I try the mat and alarm combination. If it didn’t deliver results, they would refund my money. I didn’t have anything to lose and took up on the offer. The mat appears to be tough and sturdy, but is actually very comfortable. After a few nights, my wife didn’t feel it below her body. The trick is to keep 1-2 layers of clothing between the body and the mat.
We started seeing progress the first night. It has taken a good 3 months, but she is not having accidents anymore. I believe that she may have been retrained. We will discontinue the process in a few days.

Its a good product when it works. My son is 17 and he is tall. Kept slipping out of the bed and the mat wouldn’t detect urine till he was soaked. Its a good idea, but I wish it came in a larger size.

Alarm works great and offers such peace of mind in alerting my 8 year old daughter whenever she has a bedwetting accident. I searched around and found other comparable products but those had a much greater price tag for the same features. Would highly recommend.

It’s a good alarm. We used another brand before which was connected on the armband but was very uncomfortable. We were deciding between the Chummie Pro and the Boost alarm. We decided in favor of this alarm because we can clean the plastic mat easily.
Initially, we thought that the mat would be uncomfortable, but once you place the sleeve and under the bed sheet, its not even noticeable.
The alarm is loud and bright, children cant miss it when it goes off at night. And it does work!!!
My son used it for a little over 9 weeks and he stopped bedwetting. We are super excited.
